Metal Toxicity
by: Dental Assistant Team

Metal toxicity is a recurring topic in dentistry. Our bodies naturally pick up toxic amount of metal from air, water, and our food supply. The most common are: lead, arsenic, aluminum, mercury (also present in amalgam fillings as you know), along with many others.

These toxins remain in the body an entire lifetime, affecting our body if not removed. Many conditions are linked to toxic metals. You may know Alzheimer disease is linked to an accumulation of excess aluminum exposure which contributes to brain deterioration. Alzheimer is now one of the five leading cause of death in The US. You can be exposed to Aluminum from cookware, drinking water (aluminum sulfate is often used to filtrate municipal water - and not often completely removed!).

Baking powder and antacid tablets which are products commonly used by many people can be also be a source of assimilation of the dangerous metals.

During your next visit, ask us about our metal toxicity protocol. We have it available for you; and with a few ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen, you can be on your way to removing armful metals from your body right from home.
